Become a "shavee."

Thinking about joining us? It's worth it. Not only will you be making a big difference in the lives of specific women who are in horrible circumstances, but you will be making a difference in the way women are viewed in the world. You'll be part of a movement, part of changing the course of history, part of ending centuries of women being treated as less than fully human. And you'll make a difference in the lives of people around you, who will be inspired by your passion to stand up for what you think is right in a really significant way. So... will you join us? Feel free to take a look at the profiles of the other "shavees." Each person has included a statement about why they've chosen to go bald. Maybe they have something to say to you.

Gather sponsorship by wearing a cap.

"I'd love to help but my boss/husband won't let me shave my head." We understand that there are some people who just won't understand. But surely they'd let you wear a swim cap at work (or out in public) for a certain number of hours for a good cause. We're printing up caps to be purchased at our shaving event on August 8th. If you'd like to gather sponsorship but just can't shave for whatever reason, please participate in this manner. You can tell anyone who's sponsoring you that their money buys "advertising time" for Bald Solidarity. You commit to wearing the cap (we recommend $1 a minute) in public places in return for sponsorship.
